An introduction to the many purposes, audiences, forms, and formats of technical documents and professional correspondence. Students practice writing and editing letters, memos, and reports to achieve worthwhile content, sensible organization, and readable style and learn techniques of audience-and-use analysis to adjust a message’s level of technicality to the needs and background of its audience.
