ATR 378 - Textile Design IV: Screen Print

3 credits
Prerequisites: ATR 278, 372; or permission of instructor
Focus is on photo silkscreen printing process for pattern design on fabric, resist-dyeing techniques, sewn structures, and surface embellishment. CAD programs will be used for repeat unit and color trials, and color separation. Emphasis is on personal idea development based on research topics and nature drawing. Projects take the form of printed yardage fabrics, garment design and construction, and other expressive formats.
