ENL 341 - Writing of Advertising3 credits Prerequisites: ENL 101, ENL 102 Reviews the semiotic theories of Saussure, Peirce, Jakobson, Barthes and others. Using theories of verbal and visual persuasion, poetic diction and bits of plot, students study techniques of attracting and convincing audiences of radio, print, poster, and television ads. Finally, students will create effective ads.
