FIA 311 - Composition & Design

Advanced exploration of compositional elements and structures in a lecture/studio course. The elements/structures are presented to students via PowerPoint presentations that show how they have been applied in the field of art throughout history. Their use is discussed within the larger context of understanding and applying them directly within the studentsÀ major field of study. Students become fluent in the visual language of art and apply it in critiques of their work as well as that of others.
