SOA 532 - Portuguese in Americas

Requirements: Prerequisite: At least Sophomore standingLecture / 3 hours per week
The history, culture, identities, and experiences of Portuguese who have emigrated to the Americas. Emphasis is on the formation of the Portuguese-American communities in southeastern Massachusetts. Published research will be examined and class research projects will be assigned in the local community.
