This faculty’s range of specialization is enhanced by Lecturers who specialize in many other fields.

The Department of Art and Design Offers three majors with 11 options in which to study. The Art major gives students the option to concentrate in drawing, painting, printmaking, or sculpture. Artisanry majors have to option to study ceramics, jewelry/metals, or textile design/fiber arts. Visual Design majors can choose to study Digital Media, Graphic Design, Illustration, or Photography. Students are encouraged to pursue minors, many of which are offered in CVPA. Please see program pages to learn more about the options of study.

Additional Programs

  • The Department of Art and Design also offers a 36 credit certificate program for individuals who want to expound upon their conceptual query and expand their artistic range. This program is targeted towards obtaining a media specific certificate in the field of ceramics, drawing, jewelry/metals, painting, printmaking, sculpture, or textile design/fiber arts.
