The Music minor is available to all UMass Dartmouth students who meet the university requirement of a minimum 2.5 grade point average and meet the Music Department entrance requirements. The program is designed for talented students who desire an opportunity to develop their musical abilities. It will also allow students who are seeking an eventual major in music to begin serious study in a challenging atmosphere.

Students demonstrating a special ability or interest may, with approval of the full music faculty, develop individualized programs. Graduating seniors who have successfully completed the music minor will have this fact stated on their official transcripts.
