PSY 530 - Young Adult Health Risk Behaviors3 credits Seminar Prerequisite(s): PSY 101, 205; PSY 390 or PSY 391 or PSY 392 or PSY 393 or PSY 394. Advanced seminar exploring the developmental period of “emerging adulthood’. Research on the transition to adulthood and common health behaviors will be critically examined, such as: obesity, nutrition and physical activity; romantic relationships and sexuality; HIV/AIDs and STDs; tobacco, alcohol and drug use; depression and self-injury. Emphasis is placed on developing critical thinking skills and application of course content to current events.
