IAD 310 - History of Furniture and Interiors Credits 3 Lecture Requirements: Prerequisite: ENL 102 This course surveys furniture styles from the earliest known examples to present-day trends with the emphasis taking place from the 18th Century onward. The subject will be presented in philosophical, political, and economic contexts, with cross-references to architecture and other applied arts, enabling students to understand the factors which influence design. Workload per week: three hours of lecture and three hours of homework. Open to non-majors. Prerequisite: ENL 102. Graded
