FIN 484 - Advanced Investment Analysis

3 credits
Prerequisites: FIN 383; at least junior standing; for business majors only
An examination in greater depth of subjects covered in the foundation investment anaylsis course and an introduction to recent innovations in the field. Emphasis is given to the place of derivatives in the portfolio, the active management of risk and the management of retirement assets and pension funds. Assignments include case studies involving the use of computer software and reports requiring an analysis of current research literature.
