Management professionals plan and coordinate the activities of others as well as doing hands-on work. Students majoring in Management select from 2 options: Organizational Leadership or Small Business/Entrepreneurship. The options share a common core of 3 classes. Students then specialize with additional classes unique to the option selected.

Bachelor of Science in Management: Organizational Leadership Option

This option focuses on the leadership skills required by general managers in organizations. As general managers, graduates will have a broad portfolio and varied challenges. Duties might combine day-to-day operations with special projects, personnel decisions, customer relations, and budgeting. General management roles can also include a significant marketing component to build revenue. An internship is strongly recommended.

Bachelor of Science in Management: Small Business/Entrepreneurship Option

This option focuses on how to identify, plan and start a new venture—either as a start-up or as an initiative within an existing business. Students complete 3 foundation courses in Management. Additional courses cover topics such as identification of possible new products and services, and development of comprehensive business plans.

Student Learning Outcomes

The purpose of the Management program is to prepare students for careers in management and management-related disciplines.
