Drawing Minor

Qualified students may complete a minor in Drawing within the Art + Design Department. The minor consists of 18 credits. To declare a Drawing Minor, students must be a degree candidate who has earned at least 24 credits, with a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.0 and a minimum 2.5 grade point average in their major.
Students must maintain a grade point average of 2.0 in all minor classes in order to proceed in the minor.
A minor must be completed at the time of the degree and will be so noted on the student’s transcript. A student cannot be readmitted to the University to complete only a minor.
Students select 12-15 credits from the first menu of 200/300-level studio courses listed below and then one (1) or two (2) upper-level courses in drawing.
Note: Passing the Sophomore and Junior level reviews prior to moving to advanced level courses.

200/300-Level Requirements
Take at least 12 credits from the following list: - AXD 221 - Figure Drawing: Form and Structure Credits: 3
- AXD 222 - Figure Drawing: Movement&Space Credits: 3
- AXD 223 - Drawing: Idea, Image, & Process Credits: 3
- AXD 224 - Drawing: Architecture, Spatial Systems, and Design Credits: 3
- AXD 321 - Figure Drawing: Light, Space, & Design Credits: 3
- AXD 322 - Figure Drawing: Concepts, Methods, and Themes Credits: 3
Prerequisite AXD 321 - AXD 325 - Drawing: Time, Space, & Meaning Credits: 3
Upper-Level Requirements
Take at least 3 credits from the following list:
Passing the Junior Review will be necessary before enrolling in a 400-level drawing course.
Additional Requirements
Take an additional 3 credits chosen from any of the 200, 300 or 400-level courses above. |
