As an interdisciplinary major, Health and Society courses are offered by a number of departments from an approved list of courses. Please contact the Health and Society Director, Professor Andrea Klimt (999-8831, aklimt@umassd.edu), for the up-to-date list of courses.
Requirements for the 36 credit Health and Society major include the following categories:

Core Elective Courses: 18 credits
A total of 6 courses (5 300-level and 1 200-level or above) selected from the approved list from at least 4 different disciplines.
General Elective Courses: 6 credits
A total of 1 300-level course and 1 200-or above course selected from approved list.
