2024-2025 Undergraduate Catalog
Anthropology Minor
|
|
Return to: Colleges, Departments, and Programs
A student may request entrance to the minor program in anthropology after completing at least 54 credits with a cumulative grade point average of 2.0 and at least a 2.5 grade point average in his/her major. Requests must be approved by the Chair of the Sociology and Anthropology Department.
It is possible to have both a major and a minor in the Department: e.g., a Sociology and Anthropology major with a concentration in Sociology and a minor in Anthropology. Courses used to meet requirements for the minor may not be used to meet requirements of the major. Students with majors outside the College of Arts & Sciences may complete a minor without meeting the CAS distribution requirements. Courses counting for the minor must be completed with a C- or higher.
A minor must be completed at the time of the degree and will be so noted on the student’s transcript. A student cannot be readmitted to the University to complete only a minor.
