Online & Continuing Education extends graduate educational opportunities to students who seek flexibility to achieve their next academic goal. By collaborating with the colleges, Online & Continuing Education provides specified programs to students seeking a quality education whether the interest is earning a graduate degree or certificate. Most programs are designed with the part-time student in mind. Courses are conveniently scheduled throughout the calendar year to best meet the needs of online and adult students. The majority of courses are offered online and a few are offered face-to-face or in a hybrid format. Online & Continuing Education schedules courses during the primary semesters of fall and spring; additionally, courses are available during the winter and summer sessions.
Students who attend the university through Online & Continuing Education typically work full-time, have family responsibilities and seek to fit college courses into their busy life in order to achieve their goal of earning an advanced degree. Online & Continuing Education serves students of all ages, including those who are career changers or are seeking professional growth. Online & Continuing Education offers support services to assist students in meeting their academic goals.

There are a couple ways to register for courses: Online through COIN (via my UMassD, the COIN link is under Quick Launch) or online through the Course Schedule page found at umassd.edu/online.

Degree & Application Information
UMass Dartmouth’s Online & Continuing Education department offers rolling admissions for most programs. This provides degree candidates with an ongoing and user-friendly process for initiating degree candidacy.
