POL 231 - Principles of Microeconomics

3 credits
Comparisons in terms of structure and performance between different types of market economies, ranging from smaller to larger public sectors, market socialist economies, and mixed economies. The case study method is used, taking examples from the economies of the European Union, export-oriented Asian economies, and less developed African and South American economies. Cross-listed as ECO 231
