All students take the following Visual Culture courses:
All students complete 30 additional credits of Art History courses including:
- One Art History course in a non-western area
- ARH 411 Art and Engagement (Internship) OR
- ARH 412 Art & Engagement (Study Abroad)
All students complete
- Two courses in studio art - 5 credits
Distribution/University Studies Requirements
Students are subject to the institution’s University Studies requirement and in addition must meet the distribution requirements as outlined here:
- Learning through engagement - 1 credit
- English 101 and 102 - 6 credits
- Literature - 6 credits
- History (preferably HST 104 plus one other) - 6 credits
- A foreign language through the intermediate level (202) - 12 credits
- Science, 3 credits in each area (The Natural World and The Engaged Community) - 6 credits
- Mathematics - 3 credits
- The Social World: Humanity & Society (3 credits in each of the following categories of courses: Human Questions & Contexts, The Nature of US Society, and The Nature of the Global Society–preferably HST 103) - 9 credits
- Social Science electives (ANT, ECO, PSC, PSY, SOC, WMS) - 6 credits
- Studio Art electives - 5 credits
- Free electives - 21 credits
