The International Business minor offers a unique opportunity for students to gain exposure to international business through a combination of coursework, international experience, and language. The minor is open to business students as well as non-business students who complete the necessary business foundation courses and course prerequisites.
Students eligible to declare the CCB minors need 54 completed credits and a minimum overall GPA of 2.5. Fill out the Request for a Minor form and submit it to the Registrar. The 7 foundation and elective courses must be completed with a minimum GPA of 2.5.
A minor must be completed at the time of the degree and will be so noted on the student’s transcript. A student cannot be readmitted to the University to complete only a minor.
Requirements include foreign language proficiency, an international experience, and 7 foundation and elective courses.
Foreign Language: Demonstrate proficiency in a foreign language of choice through the intermediate level (202). Students may elect to test out of this requirement.
International experience through one of the following:
- An approved university-sponsored overseas program such as the summer in Portugal program or the Hessen Exchange program.
- A summer, semester or year abroad at a partner university.
- MKT 362 (Global Marketing: An E.U. Perspective—International Summer University, Wolfsburg Germany)
- Internship (for credit) at Mass Export
Course work: A total of 21 credits (7 courses) as indicated below. (Note: Language requirement may require additional coursework.)
