Requirements: Prerequisite: BNG 319 and BNG 312
An interdisciplinary approach to understanding biotechnology. Students will utilize methods and concepts taught in this course for problem solving in biotechnology and related fields. We discuss the biochemical aspects of fermentation, and provide an in-depth look at mass transfer and biochemical processes involved in biotechnology. The course focus is theory behind fermentation, enzymology, and core concepts in biotransport and biochemistry. Cross-listed with BNG 527
