Marketing Minor

All business and organizational professionals are involved in the development of marketing strategy and decisions. The objective of the minor is to give students a basic understanding of how marketing strategy is planned and implemented and an opportunity to gain skills in a variety of special areas such as sales, advertising and marketing research.
Students eligible to declare the minor must have an overall GPA of 2.5 and have completed 54 credits. The “Request for a Minor” form must be completed and submitted to the Registrar. Students meet the requirements of the minor by completing all of the 8 courses listed below with a minimum GPA of 2.5 in the eight courses.
As of January 2010, the Marketing Minor is closed to non-business majors.

Foundation Courses
Twelve (12) credits required. Required Courses
Three (3) credits required. Elective Courses
Nine (9) credits required.
- Choose any 3 marketing courses to develop an emphasis in sales, advertising, or marketing research.
- (excludes MKT 311 and MKT 441)
