Mathematics Minor

The minor in mathematics comprises a central core of required courses followed by opportunities for advanced work and some specialization. To earn the minor, each course must be completed with a grade of C- or better, and the student must maintain at least a C average (2.0 GPA) in the program.
A minor must be completed at the time of the degree and will be so noted on the student’s transcript. A student cannot be readmitted to the University to complete only a minor.

Requirements
To successfully complete the program for graduation, all students must:
- Complete seven math courses (total 24 credits): a sequence of three calculus courses (MTH151/152/211), one of MTH212 or MTH221, three math elective courses (300 level or higher)
- Maintain a minimum grade of C- in each math course
- Maintain an overall minimum average of C in seven math courses
Math Core
Fifteen(15) credits required.
Math Electives
Nine (9) credits required (3 courses at 3 credits each) 300 level or higher. |
