Political Science Minor

Students choosing to minor in Political Science must have at least a 2.5 average in all Political Science courses and at least a 2.0 cumulative grade point average. Students must formally declare the minor by the end of their fifth semester and must have earned at least 24 credits. Appropriate forms will be available from faculty advisors in the Political Science department.

Requirements

The minor in political science consists of 18 credits. 

Foundation Courses

Six (6) credits required, choose two (2) 100-level courses from this list:

Specialized Courses

Four (4) courses, a total of twelve (12) credits. 

  • A maximum of 1 of the 4 PSC courses can be completed at PSC 200 level
  • A minimum of 1 of the 4 PSC courses must be completed at PSC 400 level

Specialized courses must be taken in a minimum of 2 of the 4 main subfields (as listed above):  American Politics/Policy, Comparative Politics, International Relations, Political Theory.

Total credits: 18
