Qualified students may complete a minor in Painting within the Art and Design Department. The minor consists of 18 credits. To declare a Painting minor, students must meet university requirements and be approved by the both Art and Design Department and the department of their major. Students must maintain a grade point average of 2.0 and a minimum 2.5 grade point average in their major. A review of progress in the painting minor occurs during sophomore and/or junior reviews.
The student selects 12-15 credits from the first menu of studio courses (200, 300 level) listed below and then chooses one (1) or two (2) upper-level courses in painting.
A minor must be completed at the time of the degree and will be so noted on the student’s transcript. A student cannot be readmitted to the University to complete only a minor.
