The Finance minor is open to CCB and Economic majors. All other majors are eligible for the Business Administration minor or the International Business minor.
The objective of the Finance minor is to enable business students to achieve a broad understanding of the principles and practices needed to make financial decisions in corporations and institutions and in the management of investments. Students will develop an array of analytical skills and sharpen their knowledge of how financial institutions and markets function in a global environment.
Business students are eligible to declare the minor if they have an overall GPA of 2.5 and have completed 54 credits. The Request for a Minor form must be completed and submitted to the Registrar. Students meet the requirements of the minor by completing all of the 8 courses listed below with a minimum GPA of 2.5 in the eight courses.
A minor must be completed at the time of the degree and will be so noted on the student’s transcript. A student cannot be readmitted to the University to complete only a minor.
