ENL 255 - Introduction to Film3 credits C Prerequisites: ENL101, ENL102 Provides beginning students of film with a comprehensive view of its history, aesthetics, and critical terminology. Attention will also be paid to elementary film theory, to a comparison of film with other genres (especially drama and narration), and to representative works of such major figures in the artistic development of the genre as Chaplin, Renoir, Welles, Bergman, Hitchcock, and Kurosawa.
