PHL 361 - Contemporary Continental Philosophy

3 credits
Prerequisites: Semester course in Philosophy or consent of instructor
A study of the various currents of continental European thought in this century with special concentration on existentialism, structuralism, and post-structuralism. Husserl, Heidegger, Sartre, Merlea-Ponty, Saussure, Levi Strauss, Lacan, Kristeva, Foucault, Derrida, and others are discussed.
