CIS 150 - Computing for Media Communication Credits 3 Lecture Studies computing applications in media communication. The course, using elementary programming constructs of scripting language such as Python, shows how to apply contemporary information technology to manipulate media such as digital images and sounds, and how to create digital movies. The course also explores issues of manipulation of text, files, databases, and preparing text for the web. The course demonstrates, through number of laboratory experiments and team projects, relevance of computing and information technology to other areas of study, to other professions, and in contemporary society.
